Service Pack 2 Released

Microsoft has released Microsoft Project 2003 Service Pack 2 and Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2. Like the Service Pack 1 pair, you need to install both of them. There are lots of little, minor things corrected. (Although, if you are being impacted by one of them, it might not be minor to you.)

For those of you that have been doing more with Project Server, there are a couple of items that caught my eye:

  1. If you have modified Project Server application files (like Active Server Pages for example), you need to follow the additional steps outlined in article 906357.
  2. Remember to apply the database upgrade to each partition, if you have a partitioned database.

Let me know if you come across any other SP2 issues that might be important for people who have extended the product.

Well, it looks like there is a big issue. Don't install SP2!
